    Our sun protection products

Exposure to the sun gives you a beautiful tan and enables you to synthesise vitamin D, which is essential for healthy bones and the immune system. But to enjoy all these benefits, you need to know how to protect your skin from the dangers of UV rays. Find out how to choose the right sun protection for your skin so you can enjoy your holidays.

How do you choose the right sun protection for your skin type?
There are two criteria to take into account when choosing your sun protection: your phototype and the level of sunlight during your exposure.

    Very sun-sensitive skin
You must wear UVA-UVB sun protection with SPF 50. It is also advisable to avoid exposure to the sun when the intensity of the sun is high or very high.

    Sun-sensitive skin
If the sun is really weak, SPF 30 may be enough. As soon as the UVA-UVB rays are of moderate intensity, turn to sun protection with SPF 50.

    Intermediate skin
An SPF 30 sun protection will suffice when the intensity of UVA and UVB rays is low to moderate. When it increases, switch to a cream with SPF 50. This is essential as soon as the sun hits hard.

    Fairly resistant skin
A protection factor of 10 will enable you to cope with weak to moderate sunshine. When the UVA-UVB rays become more intense, opt for an SPF 30 to avoid sunburn. There's nothing to stop you using SPF 30 or 50 suncare products for extra protection.

What are the different types of sun cream?

First of all, sun creams are classified by level of protection:

SPF 6 and 10: low sun protection.
    SPF 15, 20 or 25: medium protection.
SPF 30 or 50: High protection.
    SPF 50+: Very high protection.

The NUXE laboratory has developed a patented filtering complex offering broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Our sun protection range prevents premature skin photoageing, limits the appearance of spots and enhances tanning. All NUXE Sun formulas are non-toxic for the marine ecosystem. We offer different textures for a tailor-made sensorial experience:

You can apply it to the face and body. It is available with a protection factor of 30 or 50. It glides onto the skin, leaving a satin finish that enhances your tan.

    The delicious sun spray
This sun spray with an SPF of 30 or 50 diffuses an ultra-light formula onto the skin. It doesn't stick and doesn't leave a greasy finish.

    Light fluid
Take advantage of imperceptible high SPF 50 protection with this light, non-greasy, non-sticky formulation.

    Tanning sun oil
For the face or body, this SPF 10, 30 or 50 sun protection nourishes the skin. It penetrates quickly without leaving a greasy film.

To complete the protective action of your suncare products, consider post-exposure care. Next, apply NUXE Sun Fresh After-Sun Milk for the face and body to moisturise and repair the skin while prolonging your tan.

Why is it important to use sun protection cream?
Every exposure to the sun represents a health risk. The sun's rays are made up of UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays, which are the most numerous, penetrate deep into the skin. They cause damage to the lower layers of the skin. The intensity of UVB rays increases over the course of the day, affecting the surface layer of the epidermis. Without an appropriate SPF and rigorous application of your sun cream, you are exposing yourself to :

    - Sunburn.
    - Premature skin ageing.
    - The appearance of pigmentation spots.

To make sure you enjoy the sun, avoid exposure between 12pm and 4pm. Also remember to move into the shade as soon as possible and/or wear a hat to limit the risk of sunstroke.

How often should I apply sun protection?
Over-exposure to the sun is a real threat to the health and beauty of your skin. On holiday, in your garden, on the terrace or in the mountains: always apply a suitable sun protection product before exposure to the sun. Reapply every two hours and always after perspiring, swimming or toweling off. Be generous, because if you don't apply enough product, the level of your sun protection will be considerably reduced. By choosing NUXE Sun products, you can turn this essential health step into an enchanting moment of beauty. Sweet orange, tiare flower and vanilla combine to adorn the skin with fragrances that invite you to escape with each application.

It's essential to protect your skin every time you go out in the sun. UV rays can cause sunburn, irreversible damage to your health and considerably accelerate skin ageing. With sun protection tailored to your phototype and the intensity of UVA and UVB rays, you can really make the most of the sunny days.
