Beauty tips for the face
Is it possible to create a routine by mixing ranges?

It's perfectly possible to choose products from different ranges in order to create a single customized routine. However, if you wish to treat a particular problem (lack of hydration, wrinkles, sagging skin, spots, shine, etc.), we recommend that you select your skincare products from a single range, generally formulated to act globally on the targeted problem.

My diagnosis in a few clicks

In what order should I apply my skincare routine?
  1. first, gently remove make-up from your skin
  2. follow with a thorough cleansing
  3. apply your lotion or toner (depending on your routine)
  4. apply your concentrate and/or serum (depending on your routine)
  5. gently pat into your eye contour area
  6. finish by applying your day or night cream to your face, with both hands flat, always working from the center outwards (avoiding the eye contour area). Don't hesitate to use it on your neck and décolleté too.
What is an eye contour product used for?

An eye contour treatment is a formula developed specifically for this fragile area. The skin around the eyes is particularly stressed (we blink almost 30,000 times a day), thinner than the rest of the face, and lacking in support fibers. As a result, it requires specially adapted skin care in terms of active ingredients, texture and fragrance. Choose your eye contour cream according to the problems you wish to treat (dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles, dehydration...) and apply it daily, preferably in the morning and evening.

What is a serum used for?

A serum is a formula with a fluid, penetrating texture, concentrated in active ingredients to effectively treat certain problems, such as lack of hydration, uneven skin tone or sagging skin. It should be applied to clean skin, before day or night cream. Although it is generally more concentrated in active ingredients than a cream, it also serves to prepare the skin and reinforce the efficacy of your cream. These two products work in synergy, one not replacing the other. Using two serums in succession won't give you the comfort and hydration of a cream.

At what age should you start using an anti-ageing cream?

Moisturizing the skin at any age is the first essential step in preventing the appearance of wrinkles. From the age of 25, we recommend the use of antioxidant-rich multi-corrective skin care products, which will moisturize the skin while correcting the first fine lines. After 35/40, support fibers tend to become rarer, skin loses its firmness and wrinkles deepen. In this case, opt for anti-wrinkle and firming treatments. After age 50, opt for an all-round anti-ageing treatment that acts on wrinkles, sagging and loss of density.

What's the difference between anti-aging and anti-wrinkle?

Anti-aging skincare products act more or less specifically on the various signs of skin aging (1st signs of ageing, wrinkles, loss of firmness, sagging of the oval of the face, spots...). Anti-wrinkle products specifically target wrinkles.

How do you remove brown spots from the face?

Brown spots are hyperpigmentation of the skin. To prevent them, it's best to avoid excessive exposure to the sun, or to protect yourself from UV rays with a high SPF50 protection factor. To attenuate them, there are also anti-spot skincare products, which act by preventing their appearance and lightening the spots already present.

Why use a night cream?

A night cream provides the skin with the active ingredients it needs to renew and detoxify itself during the night. The skin's needs vary according to the time of day. During the day, it is confronted with the aggressions of daily life (UV rays, pollution, stress...), and it is during our sleep that it regenerates itself. It's also a good time to use richer textures, as skin microcirculation is greater at night and skin is particularly receptive to treatments.

What is double cleaning?

Double cleansing involves gently removing make-up and then cleansing your skin. The benefits are numerous and quickly visible. Better cleansed, your skin breathes and looks clearer, is better hydrated (better able to absorb skincare products) and marks less quickly.

Start by warming a few drops of an oily phase (ideally a make-up remover oil) between your hands and massaging into dry skin, with your eyes closed. This removes all greasy substances, such as sebum and make-up. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water before moving on to cleansing to remove other impurities such as pollution and sweat, thus perfecting the result. We recommend using a gentle cleanser (gel, foam or milk), applied to damp skin and rinsed thoroughly. In this way, you'll allow your skin to take full advantage of the treatments you apply afterwards, and maximize the effects of your beauty routine!

What's the difference between make-up remover and cleanser?

Make-up removal and cleansing are two complementary and essential steps for beautiful skin. Every evening, it's best to devote a few minutes to removing make-up and impurities (pollution residues and sebum) that have accumulated on the skin's surface over the course of the day. In the morning, this is also the first step in your beauty routine. Gently cleanse away excess sebum and sweat, to prepare your skin to receive other treatments.choose your make-up remover and cleanser according to your preferences and skin type, complementing your complexion's luminosity with a gentle exfoliation with a peeling lotion in the evening, for example.

How to remove make-up

Cleansing every evening is essential to keep skin fresh and clear. Depending on your preferences, you can remove make-up either with a cotton pad (using a micellar water or milk), or with your fingers using an oil or balm, which should then be rinsed off.rinse-off formulas are ideal if you like to remove make-up with water or in the shower. If you're in a hurry or don't want to suffer the drying effects of limescale, opt for a no-rinse micellar water. Finally, oils and milks are particularly suitable if you have dry skin and/or are looking for a high level of comfort. As a final step, remember to apply a lotion or toner to complete your make-up removal!

How do I moisturize my lips?

Lips lack a protective hydro-lipidic film and are therefore easily dehydrated. It's important to apply moisturizing lip care products every day. We offer 3 products specifically designed for lip care:Rêve de Miel moisturizing lip stick, which moisturizes, repairs and protects lips every day. Practical to take with you, it provides close-up protection for dry or damaged lips. How often should I apply a face mask?

Ideally, we recommend using a mask once or twice a week. Be sure to follow the application and rinsing times indicated on your product. See all our face masks.

Why use a face mask?

Face masks are occasional treatments that complement the usual routine, designed to be applied in a thick layer and left on for a certain length of time (several minutes, or even overnight, depending on the product's instructions for use). Whether gels, creams, fabric or cellulose masks, they deliver intense, immediate action on specific skin concerns. Dehydration, shine, lack of radiance... choose the mask best suited to your current needs. NUXE tip: alternate them to combine their benefits. Find all our masks.

Which oil for make-up removal?

Visit oils are ideal for gently removing make-up from the face and eyes. Oils dissolve make-up residues (made up of fatty substances), which are then removed by rinsing. Oils specifically formulated for this purpose are known as make-up remover oils. They are particularly effective at removing even the most stubborn (waterproof) make-up, and have the advantage of rinsing off easily, leaving skin soft and comfortable with no residual greasy film.

Why exfoliate my skin?

Exfoliating means removing dead surface cells to stimulate skin renewal. Regular exfoliation leaves skin smooth, soft and radiant, ideally prepared to benefit from subsequent skin care products. We recommend exfoliating once or twice a week (especially before applying your mask, to optimize its effects). For a more gradual exfoliation, there are also peeling lotions to be applied daily in the evening, before your cream.

How do you moisturize your lips in winter?

During the cold season, lips are easily prone to dryness, tightness, irritation and chapping. So it's essential to moisturize and protect them effectively every day in winter. To keep your skin soft and your mouth irresistible when temperatures drop, take good care of your lips. Avoid moistening them with your tongue and matte lipsticks, don't neglect them when removing make-up, and drink plenty of water. In the morning and evening, opt for a lip care product containing honey, an oil or a soothing balm, to soften and repair dry, fragile lips. During the day, don't hesitate to keep a stick handy to reapply as often as necessary. Before going to bed, use your nourishing balm as a mask, following the instructions for use.

How to repair damaged lips?

Often put to the test, your lips can become very dry or irritated. Before applying a moisturizer, remove all traces of dead skin from your lips with a gentle, natural lip scrub. Massage your lips with your index finger in light circular movements, then rinse thoroughly with a damp cotton pad. Exfoliate your lips to prepare them for treatment, but don't exfoliate more than once a week to avoid making them even more fragile, then apply a repairing lip care product specially designed for very dry, damaged lips several times a day. In the evening, before going to bed, don't hesitate to apply a thick layer for a real "bandage effect".

What are the signs of oily skin?

Oily skin occurs when too much sebum is produced. It then becomes covered with an oily, shiny film. It also tends to have dilated pores. The specific features of this type of skin are not just aesthetic. The overproduction of sebum also creates a favorable environment for the appearance of imperfections. When pores become clogged, blackheads appear. Under these conditions, propionibacterium acnes, a bacterium naturally present on the skin, proliferates. Oily skin is therefore more prone to blemishes and pimples. An oily skin care product will help your skin regain its balance.

What tips do you have to combat oily skin?

With a few simple gestures, you can create an oily skin care routine that combats both excess sebum and imperfections.

Make-up removal: this first step is crucial for oily skin. Use a gentle water-based make-up remover to remove impurities, make-up and excess sebum without aggressing your skin. Micellar water may be just the thing.

Cleansing: regular cleansing is essential to free the skin of impurities. Purifying cleanser is a must for oily skin. Use it in the evening, after cleansing. If you're particularly prone to imperfections, morning cleansing is also recommended. Select a gentle cleanser to avoid aggressing the skin. An aggressive gel cleanser could have the opposite effect to that intended.

The serum: thanks to its light formula, a serum can meet your skin's specific needs. For example, it can provide antioxidants or a moisturizing action thanks to hyaluronic acid. Also consider astringent lotions to tighten pores and refine skin texture.

Moisturizing cream: yes, moisturizing cream is essential for oily skin! Hydration is a fundamental need for all skin types. To moisturize the skin without reinforcing shine, choose a light formula such as a fluid or emulsion. A formula containing matifying active ingredients is ideal for daytime use.

Why use a firming facial treatment?

Over the years, the skin's production of collagen and elastin diminishes. External aggressors such as the sun's rays, pollution and smoking accelerate the appearance of signs of skin aging. Collagen and elastin are the skin's support fibers. They give the skin its suppleness and elasticity. They enable the skin to preserve its plumpness and natural radiance. When your body no longer produces enough of these proteins, your firming face care product takes over! In this way, you combat sagging skin, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and loss of elasticity.

Why use a cleansing milk?

Make-up removal is a privileged moment in the beauty ritual. Using a cleansing milk makes this moment a truly pleasant sensory experience. Its creamy, unctuous texture glides over the skin, providing an instant sensation of comfort and softness. It can also be used to massage the face. This promotes blood circulation and muscle relaxation. Make-up removal is transformed into a relaxing treatment interlude, soothing both your skin and your mind. This holistic cleansing experience helps you to keep your skin more radiant. The cleansing milk is particularly effective at removing even the most stubborn make-up. Its rich formula removes make-up pigments and residues, leaving skin perfectly clean. Finally, thanks to its formula rich in emollient agents, cleansing milk helps maintain skin hydration. It is particularly beneficial for dry, dehydrated skin, preserving its natural lipid balance.

What are the benefits of cleansing milk?

Cleansing milk has multiple benefits. It provides deep make-up removal, removing mascara, foundation, lipstick and eyeshadow. This helps prevent make-up build-up on the skin, reducing the risk of clogged pores and the appearance of blackheads. Emollient properties help preserve the skin's natural hydrolipidic film. Skin remains moisturized, more supple and less prone to irritation. Sensitive skin particularly appreciates cleansing milk for its ability to gently dissolve make-up. It helps reduce feelings of discomfort and skin irritation.

What are NUXE sun powders made of?

NUXE's Prodigieux® radiance powder is carefully formulated using high-quality ingredients. Our vegan formula is composed of sublimating pigments that create a warm shade, similar to a light tan. These pigments are combined with a sun-kissed fragrance reminiscent of summer and warm sand. The formula has been worked to create a compact texture that impregnates your brush with a fine, airy powder. Non-comedogenic, it can be used by all skin types, even those with imperfections.

How to apply sun powder without a trace?

To apply NUXE sun powder evenly and without a trace, start by preparing your skin. Use a moisturizer and massage the product into your face. It's perfectly possible to use a bronzer with foundation. For an imperceptible application, use your bronzing powder sparingly. Take a small amount of powder and gently tap your brush to remove excess product. Sun powder is designed to be applied to areas of the face naturally affected by the sun. You can therefore use light circular movements on cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin. To simplify the use of your NUXE Prodigieux® radiance sun powder, use the "3" technique. Simply draw the famous number on each side of the face, starting from the forehead. Go over the temple and back over the cheekbones. Then go back down and apply along the jawline for an immediate healthy-glow effect. If you've used too much sun powder, take a clean brush and brush it over your make-up. This will allow you to pick up a little powder and give your make-up a natural finish.

Which brush should I use to apply sun powder?

The brush is the key to successful application of your NUXE sun powder. First, choose a brush with soft, supple bristles, preferably made of natural fibers. This way, you'll get a more even distribution of powder. Your brush will make blending easier, an essential step for blurring the contours of your powder and achieving a nude make-up look (bare skin). You'll need a medium to large brush with fairly dense bristles. This will enable you to pick up enough material before sweeping lightly over the skin. If you never leave your Prodigieux® radiance powder behind, slip a kabuki brush into your toiletry bag so you can apply make-up wherever you go. Don't forget to clean your brush several times a week. This way, you'll always have an accessory that guarantees imperceptible application and limits the risk of imperfections.

What is moisturizing care?

Every day, our skin is exposed to external aggressions. Pollution, sun or wind can damage the protective film that keeps the skin hydrated. The skin dries out and its moisture balance deteriorates. Feelings of tightness appear, dehydration furrows appear, and can develop into wrinkles. Dehydrated skin also tends to lack radiance. A moisturizing facial reinforces the hydrolipidic film and provides the skin with the active ingredients it may lack.

How to choose your moisturizer?

A facial moisturizer should be chosen according to your skin type. Do you have dry skin? Choose a rich moisturizing cream that also contains plant oils to nourish the skin. Sensitive skin will also appreciate these comforting formulas. With normal skin, moisturizing is also a necessity, but you can choose the texture you like best. Don't hesitate to switch from a classic day cream in summer to a richer moisturizer in winter. Oily skin needs moisturizing too! Opt for a mattifying fluid or a light gel to limit excess sebum. These two options will also meet the needs of combination skin.

How to apply your facial moisturizer?

To reap the full benefits of your facial moisturizer, apply it morning and night to cleansed skin. Take a few minutes for a relaxing self-massage: Take a dab of Moisturizing Facial Treatment and warm it between the palms of your hands. Apply to face, neck and décolleté with the flat of your hand, working from the center of the face outwards. Follow with circular movements from the base of the neck to the forehead. Finally, use fingertips to smooth in the skin from the center of the face outwards. Conclude by pressing the palms of your hands against your face for a few seconds.
